Further afield, Radio Hauraki was still broadcasting from international waters off the coast of New Zealand until June 1970, before coming ashore after being granted a licence by the authorities.


Meanwhile from ‘somewhere in the Mediterranean’ the Voice of Peace was still broadcasting to audiences in Israel and the Middle East.
