Formerly a British Army Fort (U7) constructed to protect coastal sea lanes during World War 2

Length: 60’ (27.4m)

Although regarded as a fort-based offshore radio station Radio Sutch claimed to have used an fishing trawler as its broadcasting base in the very early days.

 It was this vessel which was used to promote the station at a press conference in the Pool of London

Shivering Sands Fort, located in the Thames Estuary, off Herne Bay, Kent
