Radio Caroline’s ship, Ross Revenge, also housed Dutch language stations from 1984 - 1989.
The stations were Radio Monique (the biggest and most successful), Radio 558 and Radio 819 . (Radio 558 was a temporary home for Radio 819 in 1988 while a new aerial was installed on the Ross Revenge).
Dutch broadcasts ended with the 1989 raid on the Ross Revenge by the Dutch (and British) authorities.
Another offshore radio station, Radio Paradijs, made a brief appearance off the Dutch coast in 1981. However, before regular transmissions could start the station was raided and closed by the Dutch authorities.
