Minerva

Built in Germany in 1935 , 161' (49m) long, 202 tons displacement.

Radio Veronica (then a part-time broadcaster on Hilversum 1) marked its 30th anniversary on 18th April 1990 with a special broadcast from the Minerva to remember its offshore days.

The Minerva was anchored  just outside Scheveningen harbour and a tender brought visitors and DJ's to and from the ship. Radio Veronica's name was painted on the Minerva in the same way as on the Norderney.

Radio 192 celebrated the 28th anniversary of the closedown of the Dutch offshore stations with a special broadcast from the Minerva on 31st August 2002. During this broadcast the ship used its own engine and sailed along the coast off Scheveningen beach.
