Radio Sutch used a simple (and inexpensive) graphic technique for its stickers - black text on a vibrant yellow paper - eye catching and it conveyed a lot of essential information too!
Radio Invicta got its message across with simple bold type - the only concession to graphics were the music notes.
The design was followed closely by Radio Invicta’s successor station, KING Radio
When Radio City took over from Radio Sutch it also adopted black type on vibrant coloured paper for its early stickers, a design which was later amended to squeeze in broadcasting hours and the separate evening service on 188m
